Every other year or so, my friend Ken and I get together and do a summer themed podcast for Mr. Suave's 'It's a Mod Mod World'. I was thinking I'd like to have a new 'summer' song, and I was thinking about how I only seem to be able to write and record songs in the first days of summer... wow that would make a cool title! A good album title for what I've been doing, for sure, but also a good title track. I live by the beach but rarely have time to go. It's a romantic notion to have a friend come down to enjoy a nice sunset and a few drinks. Consider this song an invitation.
